What exactly is mental resilience?  The common definition is an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change. But mental resilience is much more than that. It's a combination of decisiveness, optimism, flexibility, and purpose. A person with very strong mental resilience enjoys all or most of the qualities combined.

Do you think you're a mentally resilient person? If so, how resilient are you and how much do you need to work on your grit? Take the following quiz to find out.

Just be sure to reflect for a few moments on each question. If possible, recall a certain experience or situation related to the question. Honestly assess where you stand.

Rate yourself on a scale of 1-4 as follows:

1= Very weak

2= Moderate

3= Strong

4= Very strong

Questions:

These questions cover some of the key qualities of a mentally resilient person. Of course, the higher you scored, the more mental toughness you have.

Note the questions you scored the lowest on. These are the areas you need to work on.

Anybody can build mental resilience if they know where their shortcomings are. This quiz should help you identify your weak areas to work on them - and make the full score the next time around! Most of us are mentally stronger than we think we are.
